MU Launches a Medical Convoy to SALACOS Village, Al-EdwaMinia University launched a medical convoy to Salacos Village, center of Al-Edwa, within the framework of the university's keenness to perform its leading role in the presidential initiative " “A New Beginning for Human Building " that targets the most underprivileged villages and the group most in need in the governorates of Egypt, announced by Prof. Dr. Essam Farahat, Minia University President.
Prof. Dr. Ayman Hassanien, Vice President for Community Service and Environment Affairs, added that the convoy included an elite of physicians in 10 various medical majors including pediatrics, otorhinolaryngology, internal medicine, orthopedic, urology, dermatology, ophthalmology, rheumatology, thoracic, and psychiatry. This was beside to the services of the accompanying laboratory that provided a random glucose test.
During the visit, the medical staff examined about 710 cases, and patients received free medications from the convoy's pharmacy based on their diagnoses.
On the other hand, the convoy also held several awareness seminars lectured by the academic staff from Faculty of Nursing.
